SandSoft arranges website hosting for web design clients in the Skipton area and throughout the UK.
 To be seen on the Internet a website has to be 'hosted'. All the files which make up your website (HTML, script files, images etc.) need to be uploaded to your web space on the hosting company's web server and your chosen domain name must be associated with that web space.
There are many hosting companies able to provide a suitable platform upon which our websites will happily run. Since we use the PHP scripting language to code our sites we strongly recommend Linux based servers with PHP 5+ support. Hosting packages usually include a domain name of your choice and e-mail facilities within the price.
One third-party hosting company which we recommend to our clients is CIX (A trading name of ICUK Computer Services Limited) who provide an excellent service at a sensible price. If you choose to sign up with CIX we will assist you as part of our service. However, your hosting contract will be directly between you and CIX - You will pay them directly and we take no commission for introducing you to them.
