SandSoft arrange website hosting for our Web design clients in the Skipton area and throughout the UK. In order to be visible on the Internet your website needs to be 'hosted'. All the files which make up your website (HTML, script files, images etc.) need to be uploaded to your Web space on the hosting company's Web server and your chosen domain name must be associated with that Web space.

There are many hosting companies able to provide a suitable environment in which our websites will happily operate. Since we use the PHP scripting language to code our sites we strongly recommend Linux based servers with PHP 5+ support. Hosting packages usually include a domain name of your choice and e-mail facilities within the price.

One third-party hosting company which we recommend to our clients is ICUK Computing Services Limited who provide an excellent service at a sensible price. If you choose to sign up with ICUK we will assist you as part of our service. However, your hosting contract will be directly between you and ICUK - You will pay them directly and we take no commission for introducing you to them.
